Can you tell the difference between something that is flushable and something that is non-flushable? You might think that you know, but in reality, a large number of people get this one wrong. For example, there are many products that are labeled as “Flushable” right there on the packaging, but when they go down the pipe, they are still very likely to form a clog. It might look a lot like toilet paper, but you will soon notice the difference when you put toilet paper in a glass of water and one of those wipes in as well. Give it a stir, and the toilet paper will break into pieces… the “Flushable” wipes won’t.

This is why there are only two things that should go down the toilet. Human waste products and toilet paper. Anything else that you think could go there most likely couldn’t. Taking the extra time to bring something to the garbage instead can save you hundreds in plumbing expenses.
